Job Summary
The Director of Maintenance and Facilities provides strategic leadership to ensure optimal operational efficiency of car wash facilities while adhering to regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include partnering with local maintenance teams, developing key performance indicators (KPIs) for site uptime, and establishing processes for parts procurement. The role demands creating a Preventive Maintenance program, evaluating wash chemical supply networks, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. A Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and at least seven years of relevant leadership experience are required, alongside expertise in multi-unit operations and facility management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related industry experience
- Minimum of seven years in a Facilities leadership position
- Minimum of seven years of experience within multi-unit operations
- Deep knowledge of multi-site maintenance operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and car wash systems
- Proven leadership skills with ability to lead regional or national maintenance teams
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in facilities leadership within a medium-sized company ($100+ million revenue)
- Private equity-backed company experience
- Experience in multi-unit operations, preferably in car wash industry or convenience sector
- Proficient in Computerized Maintenance Management Platform Systems (CMMS)
- Strong understanding of safety (OSHA) and environmental (EPA) requirements
