Director, Litigation and Corporate Counsel

Job Summary
Manage day-to-day litigation and dispute resolution, including complex commercial cases, trade secrets disputes, and discovery. Independently attend mediations and depositions while overseeing outside counsel and managing litigation costs. Provide practical legal advice on bankruptcy, contract terminations, and business disputes to stakeholders and leadership. Oversee insurance compliance, review outside invoices, and draft litigation policies. Monitor North and South American regulatory changes and ensure audit readiness. Deliver legal training and report on litigation outcomes and trends.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor Degree (JD)
- at least eight years of relevant legal work experience
- Broad and deep litigation practice knowledge
- mediation, arbitration and trial experience, including trade secrets
- license to practice law in the US, preferably in Texas
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet navigation and research
- legal research skills using WestLaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg or similar legal research platforms
- In-office requirement of at least 3 days each week
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs
- Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States

- JD Degree from an accredited law school
