Director, Litigation and Corporate Counsel

Job Summary
Manage day-to-day litigation and dispute resolution for a broad global range of matters, including complex commercial litigation, trade secrets disputes, and discovery. Independently attend mediations and depositions while overseeing outside counsel, managing costs, and providing business-focused legal advice on contract terminations, client disputes, and regulatory compliance across North and South America. Draft litigation policies, monitor legal expenses, and support Board materials. Requires a JD, eight years of litigation experience, and US bar admission. In-office three days per week; less than 20% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor Degree (JD)
- At least eight years of relevant legal work experience
- Broad and deep litigation practice knowledge
- Mediation experience
- Arbitration experience
- Trial experience
- Trade secrets experience
- International matter experience
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Outlook
- Intermediate to advanced skills in PowerPoint
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Internet navigation and research
- Legal research skills using WestLaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg or similar legal research platforms
- Experience with AI platforms SmartSheets
- JD Degree from an accredited law school
- License to practice law in the US
- License to practice law in Texas
- In-office requirement of at least 3 days each week
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs
- Travel requirement: less than 20%
- Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States
