Job Summary
Director, Legal role overseeing global commercial and product legal matters for a leading SaaS company. Lead complex commercial deals and M&A transactions, collaborate with Product on data governance, privacy, and new features, and mentor the Legal team while partnering with Sales, Security, Marketing, and other business units to provide clear, commercially-minded legal guidance across global deals. Requires 10+ years PQE in commercial law, a JD/LLB with admission to practice, strong negotiation of B2B/enterprise contracts, and in-house SaaS experience. Strong drafting, advisory, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to translate legal issues into clear business guidance and manage regulatory/privacy considerations for a global SaaS business.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial law
- Bachelor of Laws or JD, admission to practice in a relevant jurisdiction
- strong commercial skillset with experience negotiating and closing complex B2B/enterprise/technology contracts
- M&A experience managing legal aspects of transactions end-to-end
- in-house experience at a technology or SaaS company preferred
- ability to draft legal documents, policies, and strategies clearly to non-legal audiences
- leadership and mentoring capabilities
- cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, Security, Marketing
