Job Summary
Lead relationships with distributed K-Pop labels and artists by serving as the primary strategic partner and central communication bridge. Advise partners on distribution strategy, commercial opportunities, and market dynamics while guiding release planning from inception through post-campaign analysis. Partner cross-functionally with Commercial Strategy, Marketing, Catalog, and Legal teams to optimize performance globally and ensure metadata integrity across digital and physical product logistics. Translate internal and external data into actionable growth strategies, maintaining accountability for timelines, deliverables, and campaign performance. Drive operational excellence across Virgin Music Group's global infrastructure to help artists and labels monetize catalogs effectively.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in music distribution, label services, record label, management, or related music industry environment
- Direct experience and an understanding of K-Pop music and fan culture
- Deep understanding of digital distribution, DSP ecosystems, marketing strategy, operations, and metadata requirements
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities and growth levers
- Data-driven mindset with confidence interpreting analytics and presenting insights to stakeholders
- Exceptional cross-cultural communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong relationship builder with a collaborative, service-oriented approach
- Calm under pressure, highly organized, and solutions-focused
Desired Qualifications
- Korean language proficiency is highly preferred
