Job Summary
The Director leads data- and technology-enabled initiatives across enterprise-scale platforms with a focus on Databricks-driven data processing, reliability, and scalable architectures. Responsibilities include operational leadership of data transformation programs, overseeing data platforms and pipelines, driving adoption of data lake technologies, and delivering robust data solutions in collaboration with engineering, data, and business teams. You will manage stakeholder relationships, provide senior leadership reporting on performance and risks, govern delivery across Agile and Waterfall projects, and support continuous improvement in complex, matrixed environments. The role emphasizes translating complex technical work into clear business outcomes, shaping modern data architectures, and advancing initiatives that enhance platform reliability, scalability, and alignment with business priorities. The position offers exposure to senior stakeholders and opportunities to lead enterprise data and technology initiatives with a Databricks focus.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience with enterprise information systems within SDLC and BAU environments
- 5–7 years of experience with large-scale big data environments (structured and unstructured)
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks in data processing and analytics environments
- Familiarity with modern data architecture and data lake technologies (e.g., lakehouse, ingestion, transformation)
- Proven experience managing clients and engaging with senior stakeholders
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall delivery environments
- Strong organizational, operational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
