Job Summary
Lead NI's global IT function, overseeing infrastructure stability, cloud migration, and end-user computing across HQ and international offices. Manage the full lifecycle of IT equipment from sourcing to retirement, while owning MSP relationships, vendor contracts, and software asset governance. Secure the IT framework by enforcing endpoint security, access controls, and data protection aligned with ISO 27001, GDPR, and PIPEDA, including rigorous AI security policies against shadow AI and data poisoning. Develop, test, and report on disaster recovery and business continuity plans for global outages. Lead system integration for financial and operational reporting, restructure the digital information environment around grants and programs, and maintain the AI Adoption Framework for responsible tool rollout and workflow development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Overall 10+ years of progressive experience
- At least 5 years in a senior technology leadership role in a complex, multi-site organization
- Demonstrated experience managing IT infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience managing MSP relationships
- Demonstrated experience managing cybersecurity programs
- Demonstrated experience managing global IT operations
- Hands-on familiarity with LLMs and agentic AI for practical automation
- Working exposure to vibe-coding and low-code AI tools
- Comfortable evaluating new tools for quality and risk as they're onboarded into NI's infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Power Platform, Teams)
- Hands-on experience with Azure
- Hands-on experience with SaaS/ERP systems
- Proven track record leading enterprise data governance or analytics programs
- Proven track record delivering technology projects using agile and structured methodologies
- Fluency in English
- Current legal entitlement to work in Canada
Desired Qualifications
