Job Summary
Direct and manage the implementation, maintenance, and administration of all computer networks, telecommunications infrastructure, and cloud services for HANYS locations. Lead a team of technology professionals by developing staffing plans, providing coaching, and handling direct hiring. Plan, operate, and maintain infrastructure systems to ensure reliability, availability, and recovery while serving as the primary contact for service providers. Evaluate vendor performance, manage outsourcing contracts, and oversee financial oversight for managed services. Lead complex, high-impact projects and establish strategic plans for Information Service Operations and computing infrastructure. Establish service levels for key services and lead incident response efforts to resolve complex technical issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- ten years' experience in progressive Technical Operations roles
- Demonstrated competencies in project management, staff management, and vendor management
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management, network design, security, management, and administration
- Strong background and experience in a variety of current, relevant technologies such as Microsoft M/O 365, Azure Active Directory, virtualization, server OS, and software distribution technologies
- In-depth understanding of network and telecommunication hardware, software, and firmware
- Must have a strong desire and ability to acquire new skills and knowledge of technology products and 'best practices'
- Must have strong written and oral communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze industry trends and products and to evaluate them against defined organizational needs and deliver a supported recommendation
- Prior Information technology supervisory experience
- Experience leading a technical team navigating complex technical projects
- Certification in network technologies (MCIPT, MCS or CCNA etc.)
