Job Summary
Director in Training responsible for overseeing the operation of a school-age program during a three-month training period, ensuring licensing compliance and acting as liaison between staff and agency administration. Responsibilities include maintaining records and reports, administering fee collection, developing curriculum plans and the program schedule, managing budget controls and facility resources, and hiring, orienting, monitoring, and evaluating staff. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with ECE credits (including staff-in-charge criteria) and 2 years of direct early childhood experience, plus demonstrated management/supervisory experience; travel to a local event in St. Petersburg, FL for the hiring event.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with 12 to 18 ECE credits (6 credits meeting “staff member in charge” criteria) plus 2 years direct experience in early childhood
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may substitute for degree
- Management and supervisory experience
