Job Summary
Conduct daily classroom management, curriculum implementation, and staff mentorship under the supervision of an experienced Site Director. Assist with administrative tasks including payroll, tuition, hiring, onboarding, and dismissing staff while developing classroom patterns and schedules. Ensure all rooms comply with Rule 3 Licensing requirements, correct violations, and perform tours for prospective families. Support the team in maintaining positive leadership standards and lifelong learning mentallities for all staff and students. This entry-level management role prepares dedicated classroom staff for Site Director positions within New Creations Child Care and Learning Center.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Associates Degree in a related field
- Must be Teacher qualified under DCYF Rule 3 Standards
- State DHS background check and fingerprints
- Certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR
- Ability to travel on an ongoing basis
- Extensive standing and walking
- Sitting on the floor and on low (12") chairs
- Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Lifting and carrying children extensively in the infant/toddler program
- Frequent moving of equipment (cots, tables, etc.)
- Pushing children in buggies, strollers, and walking for considerable periods
- The necessity of being outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Exposure to unpleasant odors and fluids caused by vomit (occasional) and bodily elimination
- Relatively frequent exposure to loud noises
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Two to three years of experience as a Lead Teacher
- Two to three years of leadership experience in another career field
