Job Summary
Director II Compensation leads compensation team with expertise in Frontline HRIS and compensation. Coordinates regular reviews of employee salaries and compensation programs; manages accurate processing of compensation data; serves as internal consultant on compensation matters. Trains and supervises staff, handles inquiries from internal/external customers, approves incoming paperwork, advises on policy and governance, revises job descriptions, conducts data audits, supports system projects, and coordinates annual job reclassification and market analyses. Requires advanced knowledge of payroll/compensation practices, FLSA/ADA, HRIS applications, and ability to analyze data, communicate effectively, and manage multiple priorities. Travel to district buildings and professional meetings as required. Education requirements: Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Certifications such as CCP or PHR preferred. Four years of compensation experience required; public education experience and supervisory experience preferred. Bilingual proficiency preferred in some settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university required
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Professional Human Resources (PHR), or related HR certification preferred
- 4 years' compensation related experience required
- Compensation experience in a public education environment preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) working proficiency preferred in some settings
