Job Summary
Lead the HR function by advising the Executive Leadership Team and Board on workforce planning, organizational design, compensation, benefits, and employee relations. Establish standards for HR service delivery, manage budgets, oversee operations, and ensure decisions align with employment legislation and organizational values. Develop and implement HR strategies, lead recruitment and total rewards functions, and support complex, multi-stakeholder northern Indigenous environments. Reporting to the Office of the Chair, this senior leadership role ensures HR priorities support IRC's mandate for economic and cultural wellbeing. Full-time position based in Inuvik with relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive Human Resources experience
- leadership experience within a complex organization
- Experience providing HR advice to senior leadership on sensitive employee, organizational, compensation, benefits, policy, or workforce matters
- Experience leading HR teams
- managing HR budgets
- overseeing HR operations, policies, programs, and service delivery
- Experience working in Indigenous organizations
- northern communities
- public sector organizations
- complex corporate groups
- Experience overseeing DCPP, Alberta Blue Cross, benefits, pension, compensation, or total rewards administration
- Knowledge of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement

Desired Qualifications
