Job Summary

Lead the end-to-end people agenda for Germany, serving as strategic adviser to the Vice President, General Manager and Country Leadership Team while representing the country on the HR Europe Leadership Team. Shape and execute local people strategy aligned with business priorities and enterprise HR goals, managing organization build, culture stewardship, and workforce planning. Drive talent acquisition, succession, and leadership development in partnership with regional teams, while overseeing complex employee relations, compliance, and works council engagements. Deliver compliant HR services and leverage workforce analytics to inform business decisions, acting as the primary interface for local, regional, and global HR operations. Build high-performing teams and foster organizational health as the HR leader for the German market within a late-stage clinical oncology company.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or a related field
  • Recognized HR professional certification (for example CIPD, SHRM or local equivalent)
  • 10+ years experience in the biopharmaceutical, life sciences or another highly regulated industry
  • Strong analytical mindset with proven experience using people analytics and HR metrics to inform decisions
  • Demonstrate ability to build from scratch: setting up people processes, structures, and capabilities in a new or fast-scaling organization within the Biotech industry
  • Experience working with works councils, employee representative bodies and/or unions where relevant to the country context
  • Demonstrated change leadership and the ability to build organizational capability through rigorous talent decisions, development and inclusive leadership
  • Strong cultural and local awareness, with the ability to apply regional frameworks thoughtfully while respecting local regulation, culture and employee expectations
  • Experience working within a global company with accountabilities to the country, region, and global teams
