Job Summary
Lead the end-to-end people agenda for France, serving as the strategic business partner to the Vice President, General Manager and Country Leadership Team. Shape and execute the local people strategy while representing the country on the HR Europe Leadership Team to drive regional priorities. Build the organization from the ground up, establishing leadership structures and capabilities to support business growth. Manage workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning in alignment with enterprise and European HR frameworks. Ensure compliance with French employment law and collective bargaining agreements while leading relationships with employee representative bodies and trade unions. Deliver compliant HR services and annual processes, leveraging workforce analytics to inform business decisions. Act as the primary HR interface for the country, balancing local requirements with global consistency. This role requires a Master's degree and 10+ years in biopharma, with hybrid work arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or a related field
- 10+ years experience in the biopharmaceutical, life sciences or another highly regulated industry
- Strong analytical mindset with proven experience using people analytics and HR metrics to inform decisions
- Demonstrate ability to build from scratch: setting up people processes, structures, and capabilities in a new or fast-scaling organization within the Biotech industry
- Experience working with works councils, employee representative bodies and/or unions where relevant to the country context
- Demonstrated change leadership and the ability to build organizational capability through rigorous talent decisions, development and inclusive leadership
- Strong cultural and local awareness, with the ability to apply regional frameworks thoughtfully while respecting local regulation, culture and employee expectations
- Experience working within a global company with accountabilities to the country, region, and global teams
