Job Summary
Director, HR Operations leads end-to-end payroll across multiple countries and standardizes HR processes to improve performance. Drives budget management, organizational change related to HR processes, and updates to systems and policies. Responsible for on-boarding/off-boarding, benefits, time & attendance, and leave management; maintains data integrity across HRIS and payroll, and manages SLAs with external payroll vendors. Requires extensive HR background (15+ years) and leadership experience, deep multi-country payroll knowledge (including India), and professional payroll/HR certifications. Bachelor's degree in HR or related field is required; Master’s degree is a plus. Demonstrates strong stakeholder management, change management, and ability to collaborate with Finance, Legal, and external partners.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of HR experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role within global HR shared services
- Global payroll operations experience across multiple countries with deep knowledge of a major region (e.g., India + APAC/EMEA)
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
- Professional payroll or HR certifications (CPP, CIPP, or equivalent) or strong India payroll expertise
- Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Legal, and external partners
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with setting budgets and driving cost-saving initiatives
- Knowledge of statutory deductions, tax rules, social security/benefits frameworks across jurisdictions
- Experience with global payroll platforms and change management
