Job Summary
Director, HR Operations will lead the HR Operations function, driving end-to-end life-cycle transaction management, data integrity, and employee services. Responsible for transforming HR service delivery through AI-enabled platforms and Workday capabilities, shifting from transactional support to advisory, defining SOPs/SLA, and delivering a scalable operating model with governance, analytics, and compliance. Leads a team of HR Operations professionals, collaborates with HR leaders to automate and optimize processes, ensures regulatory compliance, and upskills staff in analytics, problem-solving, governance, and AI-enabled support. Focus areas include process excellence, self-service adoption, governance of AI-enabled HR processes, organizational change management, and continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. Requires a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years of operations and leadership experience, strong AI/automation knowledge in HR tech, and proven ability to influence stakeholders; hybrid schedule with three on-site days per week in the LA County area per posting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive Operations responsibility in a business function or HR Shared Services, HRIS, or HR Transformation experience
- 8+ years of leadership experience managing operations or shared services teams
- Strong understanding of AI, automation, and self-service technologies within HR platforms
- Experience implementing operational excellence methodologies and service management frameworks
- Proven ability to lead organizational change and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
- Preferred qualifications include experience in AI-enabled transformation initiatives and Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent operational excellence experience (optional wording)
- Familiarity with case management systems, knowledge management platforms, and digital employee experience tools (optional wording)
- Hybrid scheduling requirement: on-site 3 days per week (explicit in posting)
