Director - HPE Operations Compliance & Controls

Job Summary
Lead the HPE Operations Compliance & Controls function, establishing priorities that support business objectives and emerging regulatory requirements. Partner with enterprise compliance organizations to translate evolving regulations into practical operational solutions while driving simplification of compliance processes. Lead programs supporting enterprise risk management, business continuity, operational controls, and audit readiness to ensure organizational resilience. Build trusted relationships across HPE Operations and key corporate partners to serve as a strategic advisor on compliance, risk, and resilience matters. Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to simplify compliance processes and reduce operational overhead. Lead and develop a high-performing global team of experienced managers and professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 15+ years of leadership experience in operations, compliance, controls, risk management, audit, business continuity, legal, or related disciplines
- Strong preference for candidates with prior Director-level experience leading managers and experienced professionals in a global organization
- Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives through influence rather than direct authority
- Experience partnering with senior executives and driving outcomes across matrixed organizations
- HPE Operations experience (Services, Supply Chain, Quote-to-Cash, Customer Operations, or Business Operations)
- Strong understanding of, or demonstrated aptitude for, compliance, audit, controls, business continuity, and risk management disciplines
- Exceptional executive communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to build alignment and drive outcomes across organizational boundaries
- Demonstrated track record of operational excellence, execution, and delivering results with urgency
- Brings credibility and sound judgment in compliance, risk, audit, business continuity, controls, or related disciplines
- Naturally curious about evolving regulations, emerging risks, and industry trends
- Exceptional emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization
- Creates clarity, alignment, and momentum across complex stakeholder environments
- Champions the use of AI and automation to improve operational effectiveness, scalability, and employee productivity
- Acts with urgency and accountability, consistently driving initiatives to successful outcomes
- Leads experienced teams through clear direction, empowerment, and strong operational rigor
- Balances risk management with business enablement, helping the organization move quickly and confidently
- Hybrid work arrangement (2 days per week from an HPE office)
