Director Housekeeping/Executive Housekeeper

Job Summary

Direct the Housekeeping Department by overseeing rooms, front/back of house, and laundry operations while establishing key control systems and monitoring radio communications. Manage all Housekeeping and Laundry leadership through monthly and weekly meetings, conducting performance appraisals, and coaching staff on safety protocols and brand standards. Prepare associate schedules based on business forecasts, submit wage reports weekly, and maintain purchase order vouchering and checkbook accounting. Respond to emergency situations using MSD sheets, conduct weekly walk-throughs with the General Manager, and review daily guest request logs to address issues proactively. Ensure compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality policies, train staff on effective training steps, and focus department efforts on guest service scores.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
  • 2-year college degree and 5 or more years of related experience
  • 4-year college degree and at least 3 year of related experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems
  • Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
  • Proficiency in word processing
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
  • Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
  • Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards
  • Ability to maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
  • Ability to comply with certification requirements as applicable for position to include: Food Handlers Alcohol Awareness CPR and First Aid
