Job Summary
Direct housekeeping operations for front-of-house, back-of-house, and laundry areas while establishing key control systems and monitoring radio communications. Lead all Housekeeping and Laundry leadership through monthly department meetings, weekly staff trainings, and biannual maintenance projects. Manage associate schedules based on business forecasts, conduct performance appraisals, and review the Guest Request log daily to address issues proactively. Ensure compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, food handler certifications, and safety protocols while maintaining high guest service scores. Collaborate with the General Manager and Property Engineer on weekly walkthroughs and emergency response using M.S.D. sheets.
Required Qualifications
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree and 5 or more years of related experience
- 4-year college degree and at least 3 year of related experience
- Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
