Director, Healthcare Risk Management

Oversee identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of risks affecting Sentara to safeguard assets, reputation, and operations. Lead risk management activities to develop strategies and provide insights into mitigation efforts. Plan, organize, communicate, evaluate, and implement the Clinical Risk Management program while investigating and reporting on concerns related to clinical care to reduce professional liability claims. Lead efforts in identifying and evaluating financial, operational, compliance, and reputational risks, and monitor and report on risk management activities. Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding risk-related matters and lead the response to risk-related incidents. Mentor risk management professionals and ensure ongoing compliance with healthcare regulatory agency standards.
