Job Summary
Plan, organize, and direct all activities associated with the front end of the revenue cycle for hospital-based inpatient, outpatient, and selected ambulatory services. Manage customer service, quality assurance, management reporting, budgetary requirements, compliance, records management, registration, eligibility, point of service collection, payer information, employee system training, and EPIC application support. Ensure optimal, timely, and accurate patient information while maximizing revenue opportunities and providing optimal service to internal and external customers. Lead personnel management within budgetary constraints, participate in developing and reviewing departmental policies, and implement plans for departmental growth. Requires 5 years in hospital patient access or revenue cycle, 2-3 years in EPIC, and 3-5 years in healthcare management.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years experience in hospital/physician patient access, practice management, or front end revenue cycle
- 2-3 years' experience in an EPIC Hospital & Physician Revenue Cycle
- 3-5 years management experience in healthcare setting
- history of successful practice management/hospital operation management, systems and process implementation
- proven leadership abilities
- organizational skills
- ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Strong analytics required to identify trends for process improvements and denial mitigation
- Experience in point of service collections for all out of pocket patient responsibility
- experience in coaching, and feedback
- strong relationship building skills
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Must be a high-performing Microsoft software user with proficiencies in the Windows Office Suite - PowerPointTM, WordTM and Excel
- Must be task-, team-, and deadline-oriented
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters in Healthcare Administration preferred or equivalent experience
