Director, Head of Financial Reporting

Job Summary
Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities for the International HNW business unit, overseeing journal entries, reconciliations, roll forwards, and balance sheet substantiation while strengthening close controls and documentation. Manage operational and regulatory reporting, including audit and SOX control deliverables, internal/external reporting for Asia Regional and Bermuda/DIFC entities, and statutory filings. Partner with cross-functional teams across Actuarial, Operations, Treasury, and Technology to resolve reporting issues and support management requests. Coach junior team members to build execution discipline and ensure continuous improvement of financial processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CPA qualification
- Minimum of 12+ years relevant finance experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong insurance finance, accounting and financial reporting experience
- Strong controllership mindset with experience in close governance, reconciliations, balance sheet substantiation, SOX controls, audit support and issue resolution
- Strong understanding of internal and external reporting processes, including management reporting, regulatory reporting and statutory filing support
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work across Asia and North America teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Prior experience in financial controllership, regulatory reporting, SOX controls, audit support and cross-functional finance projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant finance/reporting systems
