Job Summary
Director, Graduate Affairs at UCF's Rosen College of Hospitality Management leads graduate advising and student success for master's, certificate, and PhD programs, including oversight of graduate and international student programs, Graduate Plans of Study processes, admissions, registration, course substitutions, degree audits, dual-degree programs, and graduate awards. Responsibilities include orientation, recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives; providing backup data analysis and reporting; overseeing Graduate Affairs staff and interpreting university policies; and supporting college partners and external international programs (e.g., KHU, Disney Cohort). The role emphasizes strategic leadership, collaboration with faculty directors, and ensuring timely degree completion and student success across graduate programs. Minimum qualifications require a combination of education and experience with leadership experience; preferred qualifications include experience in graduate advising, student retention strategies, and familiarity with student information systems. The position offers a salary in the mid-60k range with standard benefits, located in Orlando, FL, with a typical Monday–Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher with 8+ years relevant experience or Master's with 6+ years relevant experience and 3+ years leadership
- Experience in graduate academic advising and student recruitment preferred in hospitality or related program
- Working knowledge of student information systems (e.g., Workday, Canvas, Slate)
- Ability to collaborate with faculty directors and academic leadership
- Authorized to work in the U.S.; no H-1B sponsorship available
