Job Summary
Director of Legislative Affairs leads the development and execution of the Company’s state and federal legislative strategy, policy development, coalition building, and advocacy for BCBSMA with legislators, regulators and stakeholders. Responsible for policy analysis materials for senior leaders and coordinating regulatory requirements, with duties including legislative drafting, coalition building, oral and written testimony, building relationships with state and federal legislators and regulators, HIPAA‐compliant communications, and managing the Company’s political action committees. The role requires advanced analytic and communication skills, deep knowledge of health care policy and the health insurance industry (including behavioral health, substance use disorder, prescription drug pricing and transparency, provider payment policy, municipal health reform, and utilization management tools), and a minimum of 15 years in government affairs or related fields. JD preferred; minimum education high school degree or equivalent. Location: Boston, MA; the position is HYBRID. Salary range: $198,360.00–$242,440.00.
