Job Summary
Directs and executes Inova’s government and community initiatives for the Eastern Region, guiding advocacy and engagement programs, managing relationships with government and community stakeholders (elected officials, law enforcement, public safety officials, government staff, and community leaders), leading board/committee engagement, advocating on system-wide policy positions, identifying priority issues, and collaborating with internal teams (Marketing, communications, service lines) to raise awareness and ensure informed decision-making. Partners with the Community Health Division to lead the Community Health Needs Assessment process and works to ensure Inova messaging is appropriately sensitive to stakeholders across the region.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of progressive responsibility within a public affairs or public policy setting dealing with internal and external relationships
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in public policy, public affairs, healthcare, health policy or other related discipline
