Job Summary
Serve as administrative advisor to the Governance Committee and lead the Policy Development Team in reviewing and proposing policy updates. Oversee Board standing committee staff operations, manage the appeals process including convening panels, and administer conflict-of-interest disclosures for Board members and staff. Plan and implement Board member lifecycle activities such as recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation while maintaining organizational bylaws. Supervise staff members directly supporting governance functions, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management. Partner with the President, Chief Executive Officer, and legal counsel to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and best practices. This hybrid role requires two days per week in the office and offers a competitive salary determined by factors including education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States (US) on a full-time basis
- Bachelor's degree
- Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience supporting governance, compliance, policy administration, accreditation, legal, association, non-profit, or higher education functions
- At least three years of supervisory or management experience
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree, JD, or related advanced degree
- Experience supporting Boards of Directors and governance committees
- Experience administering appeals, compliance, or conflict-of-interest processes
- Experience in graduate medical education, accreditation, health care, or mission-driven associations
