Job Summary
Advise corporate and business unit leaders on complex financial issues, M&A activities, and divestitures through due diligence, post-acquisition integration, and valuation analyses. Create and update GAAP policies, liaise with external auditors on transactions, and ensure alignment on accounting and external reporting for 10-Q/10-K filings. Partner with legal, treasury, and shared services to evaluate deal structures, implement new accounting standards, and monitor regulatory rule changes. Direct research of technical accounting issues, document conclusions in formal memos, and maintain effective internal controls and 404 narratives. Manage multiple projects with condensed timelines while communicating complex conclusions to senior management and responding to inquiries from the CFO and Corporate Controller.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional work experience
- 6+ years managerial experience
- Technical CPA
- Proficient in US GAAP, including business combinations and divestures, derivatives and hedging, VIE/consolidation, minority interests, investments, revenue recognition, contingencies, share-based payment awards and SOX requirements
- Data analytics, research, and effective applications of artificial intelligence to accounting/finance
- Use of various technology applications, such as M365, Oracle FCCS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong ability to influence and provide strategic recommendations
- Prior experience managing multiple projects, competing priorities, and short deadlines
- Proven leadership experience to drive prompt resolution of technical issues, communication of those issues, and process improvement
- Experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
