Job Summary
Advise corporate and business unit leadership on complex financial issues, M&A transactions, and divestitures through due diligence, valuation, and post-acquisition integration support. Create and update GAAP accounting policies, liaise with external auditors on reporting alignment, and prepare functional endorsements for business development transactions. Partner with legal, treasury, and shared services to evaluate deal structures, analyze accounting impacts for investments and alliances, and implement new regulatory standards. Direct research of technical accounting issues, document conclusions in formal memos, and maintain internal controls for 10-Q/10-K filings. Manage multiple projects with condensed timelines while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional work experience
- 6+ years managerial experience
- Technical CPA
- Proficient in US GAAP, including business combinations and divestures, derivatives and hedging, VIE/consolidation, minority interests, investments, revenue recognition, contingencies, share-based payment awards and SOX requirements
- Data analytics, research, and effective applications of artificial intelligence to accounting/finance
- Use of various technology applications, such as M365, Oracle FCCS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong ability to influence and provide strategic recommendations
- Prior experience managing multiple projects, competing priorities, and short deadlines
- Proven leadership experience to drive prompt resolution of technical issues, communication of those issues, and process improvement
- Experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
