Job Summary
Director, Global Study Start-Up (SSU) for Neuroscience accountable for leading study start-up strategy, talent, and execution across the Neuroscience portfolio. Oversees SSU Leads, drives high-quality delivery of global start-up milestones through proactive risk management, standardized processes, and AI-enabled tooling. Serves as a key business partner to Clinical Study Leadership, Regulatory, Clinical Site Management and other stakeholders to accelerate study activation while ensuring compliance. Responsibilities include leading talent development, building organizational capability and AI fluency, partnering to pilot digital solutions, driving SSU performance against milestones, mitigating portfolio risks, ensuring adherence to ICH/GCP and global regulatory requirements, and standardizing SSU processes across areas. Cross-functional leadership to enable seamless study start-up delivery; influence timelines and resource strategies. Requires Bachelor's Degree (health care or scientific field preferred), 10+ years global study start-up and clinical project management experience, 6+ years of people management, and strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Hybrid remote option supported with North Chicago, IL location; US-based.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required; degree in health care or scientific field preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of global study start up and clinical project management experience
- 6+ years of people management experience
- Proven leadership skills in cross-functional global teams
- Advanced working knowledge of ICH and GCP guidelines
- Ability to influence and align stakeholders
- Expertise in drug development, operations and resource/budget planning across global geographies
