Director, Global Mining Consulting

Job Summary
Develop a superior brand in geology, mining, and process consulting services while ensuring quality control through the Group's peer review process. Manage the P&L for the Global Consulting business, forecast utilization, and communicate strategies to senior leadership. Drive business development by participating in professional conferences, building client relationships, and preparing proposal scopes of work. Recruit and select staff to improve Group capabilities, facilitate interactions between technical teams and engineering groups, and develop annual budgets for training and tool acquisition. Collaborate with engineering offices to capture key mining projects and ensure strong communication of opportunities between offices. Regular travel to project sites, Wood Mining offices, and client headquarters will be required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 20 years international experience in diverse roles in consulting and engineering studies, in the mining industry
- Minimum 10 years' experience in managing diverse technical teams
- Bachelor's degree in Mining, Resource Geology, or relevant discipline
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated leadership and credibility managing a Consulting Group, and managing full P&L
- Strong drive to succeed, and outgoing personality
- Strong desire to grow and manage a consulting business
- Industry recognition as a credible leader in providing mining consulting services
- Regular travel to project sites, Wood Mining offices and client headquarters will be required
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or PhD
- Experience with a wide range of commodities in diverse global settings
