Job Summary
Lead the Gas Services organization by establishing operational targets, analyzing financial data, and driving project profitability through proper staffing levels. Monitor achievement of targets, recommend process improvements, and address customer satisfaction issues while collaborating with management and marketing to identify business development opportunities. Cultivate relationships with existing and potential clients, generate sales leads through prospecting and networking, and develop comprehensive multi-year business plans. Hire and train new employees, coach Group Managers, and foster a constructive workplace environment that encourages collaboration and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering
- Current registration by the State of California as a Professional Engineer
- Willingness to register in other states
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
- 15+ years of experience in the natural gas field
- 10+ years of experience working directly with natural gas utilities
- At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role leading a team of 10+ individuals
- Familiarity with the standards and quality demanded by gas utility clients
- Experience with quality assurance checks
- Willingness to travel to other NV5 or client offices on short notice
- Proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Project, and other relevant software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized
- Detail oriented
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license
