Job Summary
Conduct hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, and architecture design to raise engineering standards and simplify workflows by removing friction. Build durable reusable patterns, guardrails, and tooling that accelerate delivery while applying strong engineering fundamentals across software design, data, and distributed systems. Leverage AI-enabled capabilities deliberately across design, coding, and review, maintaining human accountability for high-risk decisions and final quality. Ensure production systems meet required levels of resiliency, performance, scalability, and operability through secure coding practices and disciplined rollout strategies. This role requires 12+ years of full-stack experience in Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native solutions, located in New York, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 12+ years of professional software development experience
- demonstrated depth in full‐stack engineering and system / application architecture
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and the design of RESTful and streaming‐based APIs
- Hands‐on experience delivering cloud‐native solutions, including microservices, containerization, and modern deployment patterns
- Working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores, selected and applied appropriately at scale
- Experience leveraging AI‐enabled capabilities, including GenAI or ML‐driven services, to enhance developer productivity, system intelligence, or customer outcomes, with a pragmatic understanding of responsible use, scalability, and integration into enterprise platforms
