Job Summary
Lead the vision, architecture, and delivery of BNY's next-generation Corporate Actions Processing Engine, driving end-to-end design and development of a scalable, resilient, and high-performance processing engine. Provide hands-on technical leadership while establishing architectural standards, influencing long-term technology strategy, and partnering with business and engineering stakeholders to improve efficiency and operational excellence. Build and mentor high-performing teams, accelerate modernization efforts, and foster a culture of technical excellence. Requires 15+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership, expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Oracle, Kafka, and AI/ML, plus a proven track record in financial services post-trade processing and custody operations. Based in Pune.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of software engineering experience
- at least 5 years in leadership roles (e.g. Head of Engineering, Technical Lead)
- Expert-level proficiency in Java
- proficiency in frameworks like Spring Boot
- experience building microservices
- Strong expertise with relational databases (Oracle)
- data modelling expertise (canonical data models, JSON)
- Deep experience with enterprise messaging platforms (Kafka, IBM MQ)
- Proven experience implementing AI/ML solutions ( using Python or other frameworks)
- experience to solve business problems
- Full-stack development experience
- experience with RESTful APIs

- Experience with Cloud and Containerization technologies

- Proven track record delivering mission-critical systems in banking environments
- Demonstrated success leading engineering teams through complex, multi-year transformation programs
- Strong Agile/Scrum methodology experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at senior levels
- Ability to operate in a matrixed, global organization
