Job Summary
Lead strategy and tactics for instructional technologies at CalArts, managing the Learning Management System and ensuring its performance and integration with other tools. Collaborate with faculty across six schools to identify, implement, and deploy software and hardware solutions, ranging from proof of concept to production. Conduct training sessions on identified technologies and topics impacting student learning, while spearheading research into emerging innovations like artificial intelligence. Serve as the primary liaison between CAIT, staff, and faculty to define project milestones and coordinate Institute-wide initiatives. Build strong relationships with program directors, deans, and the Provost's Office to further these efforts and participate in shared governance committees.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Master's Degree, Educational Technology or related field
- Several years' experience working in higher education
- Several years' experience working in an art non-profit
- Several years' experience working directly with faculty
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
- Knowledge of software integrations with LMS solutions
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others in problem-solving situations that achieve visible results
- Excellent communication skills
- ability to build relationships with diverse groups
- Commitment to cultivating an inclusive and diverse work environment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree, Educational Technology or related field
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (Instructure Canvas preferred) and LTIs
- Experience doing training, both in formal and informal settings
