Job Summary
Director, Food & Beverage at Fairmont Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton leads and coordinates Events, Culinary, Stewarding, and Outlets, driving high integrity, empathy, and respect while maintaining Fairmont Brand Standards. Responsible for guest satisfaction improvements, financial oversight (business plan, operating, marketing, capital budgets, monthly financial outlooks), and market analysis. Oversees menu development, partnerships with producers/suppliers, and community initiatives; guides menu concepts to be innovative, appealing, and profitable. Requires a University Degree or College diploma in Hotel or F&B Management (preferred), certifications (Food Safety/Food Handler, Smart Serve, Pro Serve), and 6+ years of leadership in hotel F&B operations; strong business acumen and revenue management skills. Required Qualifications
- University Degree or College diploma in Hotel or F&B Management (preferred)
- Valid Food Safety/Food Handler’s Certification
- Smart Serve Certification
- ProServe certification
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive leadership within hotel Food & Beverage operations
- Experience managing progressive beverage program in multi-outlet operation
- Proven ability to drive revenues and profit with strong business acumen
- Proven ability in menu concept and design, marketing, and on-line reputation management
- Excellent pricing, revenue management and cost controls
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills for problem resolution with guests
