Job Summary
Director, Financial Reporting will join the Corporate Accounting team to support the preparation and review of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and related SEC filings (10-K/10-Q, 8-K) for a Tier-1, publicly traded company in Irvine. The role partners with Corporate Accounting, Operational Accounting, Investor Relations, FP&A, Treasury, and Legal, and reports to the Corporate Controller/Chief Accounting Officer. Responsibilities include preparing/consolidating financial statements, tying out schedules, coordinating SEC filings, contributing to technical accounting projects, researching accounting conclusions and disclosures, implementing new accounting standards, and supporting complex transactions (acquisitions/dispositions, capital markets). Requires collaboration across departments and strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills; advanced Excel proficiency; and effective communication. Open to Manager or Director level, with a hybrid work schedule, and potential long-term career growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA required
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with SEC reporting and technical accounting
