Job Summary
Lead preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring consolidated results are accurate, timely, and complete. Oversee external reporting deliverables including footnotes, MD&A, and GAAP disclosure checklists for investors and lenders. Direct the purchase accounting process for all acquisitions and oversee annual goodwill impairment assessments. Research and implement technical accounting guidance, draft policies, and monitor emerging standards. Provide leadership and coaching to a team of two accounting professionals while managing the external reporting calendar and coordinating with auditors, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders. Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Operations to support strategic initiatives and maintain a strong internal control environment. Communicate financial results and risks clearly to executive leadership, including the CFO, Audit Committee, and Disclosure Committee.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA designation
- 10–12 years experience in relevant field
- 5 years of supervisory experience
- Some travel expected, estimated at up to 5–10%
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Experience preparing and reviewing external financial statements, footnote disclosures, and MD&A for investors and lenders
- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
- Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills, including the ability to communicate financial results and risks clearly to executive leadership
- Experience providing leadership to others regarding work-related systems, processes, and challenges
- Experience interpreting strategy and policy to set and deliver objectives
- Strong internal control mindset with the ability to build scalable, audit-ready reporting processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with SEC reporting tools such as DFIN or Workiva
- Proficiency with consolidation systems such as Oracle FCCS
- Ability to lift up to 10lbs
