Director, Financial & Regulatory Reporting

Job Summary
Lead the preparation and submission of all required regulatory filings, GAAP financial statements, and external reporting packages while monitoring evolving requirements. Establish documentation, controls, and procedures to support regulatory accuracy and coordinate responses to regulatory examinations and external audit requests. Develop recurring financial reporting packages for executive leadership and partner with Treasury, FP&A, and Accounting teams to provide insights into financial performance. Serve as a finance business partner by researching technical accounting conclusions, analyzing specialized transactions, and leading the development of reporting governance structures for a regulated banking environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or regulatory reporting experience
- Experience working with external auditors and/or regulators
- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting controls, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Broad knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and banking industry practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to interpret complex accounting, regulatory, and business requirements and apply them effectively
- Ability to communicate financial information and insights clearly to a variety of audiences, including executive leadership, auditors, regulators, and business partners
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial results, risks, and trends to organizational objectives
- Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, highly regulated environment
- Demonstrates sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Leads change and drives continuous improvement through process optimization, standardization, and innovation
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and professionalism in all interactions and decision-making
- Maintains a strategic perspective while balancing operational execution and regulatory requirements

Desired Qualifications
- CPA strongly preferred
- Experience within regulated banking environment preferred
