Job Summary
Director FP&A responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning with a strong focus on R&D spend; develop and maintain detailed financial models for pipeline programs and clinical milestones; partner with R&D and technical ops to align financial plans with scientific/operational objectives; provide strategic insights for investment decisions and portfolio prioritization; prepare board/executive materials and own FP&A processes using Workday Adaptive Planning; hands-on, autonomous contributor with biotech industry experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
- 8+ years of FP&A experience with planning, forecasting, financial modeling
- Workday Adaptive Planning experience (required)
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis skills
- Ability to engage with functional leaders and translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Experience embedded within biotech or life sciences; exposure to oncology/immunology a plus
- Independent contributor with minimal supervision; no direct reports requirement
- Location flexibility (Boston or NYC) preferred
