Director, Financial Crimes Compliance - AML Officer

Job Summary
Own and maintain Poshmark's BSA/AML program, including annual risk assessment, governance cadence, and program documentation. Define regulatory requirements, control standards, and acceptance criteria for seller identity, KYC/KYB, and sanctions screening in partnership with Risk Strategy. Serve as the primary US governance point of contact for banking partners, external auditors, and regulators while leading audit preparation and response. Drive the Financial Crimes Compliance program roadmap with Product, Engineering, and Operations, including business requirements, control design, and workflow approvals. Provide detection logic oversight, feedback-loop analysis, and SAR filing governance in partnership with the AML Escalation Manager. Review and approve operational procedures and vendor partnerships before implementation, ensuring the program remains audit-ready and banking-partner-ready.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in BSA/AML, sanctions, financial crimes compliance, or a closely related discipline
- CAMS / ACAMS or equivalent certification
- Strong working knowledge of BSA, AML, OFAC, the USA PATRIOT Act, FinCEN expectations, and AMLA 2020
- Direct experience managing regulatory exams, banking partner relationships, and audit-ready compliance programs
- Experience translating regulatory requirements into business requirements, workflows, support content, and operational controls
- Experience with vendor management, cross-functional program leadership, and senior stakeholder management
- Strong executive communication skills and the ability to influence across Product, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Finance
