Job Summary
Senior Controller for Freight Equipment & Services leads the controllership function for the business, ensuring integrity of financial reporting, forecasting precision, and strong internal controls. Responsibilities include applying ASC 606 to complex transactions, overseeing contract performance and margin review, managing quarter- and month-end close, review of manual journal entries, coordinating international statutory filings and audits, maintaining accounting policies and controls, driving process improvements, and coordinating with auditors. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, CPA, 8+ years of experience in public multinational manufacturing or related fields with deep US GAAP expertise, and willingness to travel. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree and ERP/consolidation/tools experience. Personal traits emphasize leadership, integrity, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate under ambiguity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or equivalent professional certification
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience including leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (ASC 606)
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours
