Job Summary
Lead day-to-day operations of the Finance & Treasury department, overseeing financial management, liquidity forecasting, budgeting, and regulatory reporting. Provide direct leadership to the Accounting & Reporting Lead, managing team development, performance, and succession planning. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory packages, manage internal management reporting, and deliver financial analysis to senior leadership and the Board. Oversee treasury operations, including liquidity monitoring, investment activities, cash flow forecasting, and funding strategies. Coordinate annual budgeting, ICAAP processes, and audit activities while maintaining internal controls and policy standards. Monitor financial performance against forecasts, identify risks, and support compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Professional accounting designation required: CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA
- 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting, finance, or financial management experience
- 3 to 5 years of leadership experience
- Experience preparing, reviewing, or overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret financial information
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting, audits, internal controls, tax compliance, financial governance, systems enhancements, and process improvement initiatives
- Must be bondable; satisfactory criminal and credit checks required
- Legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- Treasury, liquidity, investment, or capital management experience, preferably within a financial institution
