Job Summary
Direct AbbVie’s enterprise-wide Finance Transformation efforts by partnering with executive leadership to set the vision and roadmap, and leading cross-functional, global teams to deliver transformation programs that drive measurable ROI. Develop and align strategies, oversee budgets and timelines, identify emerging technologies (including AI-enabled planning and advanced analytics), manage change and stakeholder adoption, and coordinate with vendors/consultants to integrate financial systems (ERP/SAP). Maintain executive-level communication, track KPIs and business case performance, and ensure alignment with AbbVie’s enterprise objectives while building organizational capability across global functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in finance transformation, consulting, or a similar business environment
- Significant experience leading large-scale, complex transformational programs with demonstrated business impact
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional and global project teams in a matrixed organization
- Strong financial acumen with deep familiarity with financial systems, processes, and ERP platforms (SAP experience highly valued)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and project management tools (Smartsheet, or similar)
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities
- Executive-ready communication skills with the ability to simplify and convey complex technical and business concepts to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and operate independently with minimal supervision
- Global mindset with experience working across geographies, cultures, and time zones
- Proven change management expertise, including stakeholder adoption strategies and resistance management
- Strong business judgment with the ability to drive diverse organizations to achieve results through a focused, pragmatic approach
