Job Summary
Director Finance M&A responsible for leading financial analysis, planning, and execution of M&A and business development transactions. Collaborates with CFO, M&A Leader, CEO, and senior leadership; supports acquisitions through cross-functional deal execution, due diligence, modeling, and integration in a private-equity setting with exposure to major shareholders. Hybrid work from Burlington, MA or Leawood, KS offices; role emphasizes sophisticated financial modeling, scenario analysis, risk identification, and strategic recommendations to drive value across Ascend Learning’s portfolio and partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, corporate finance, or corporate development
- Strong quantitative skills and financial modeling
- Ability to lead due diligence and interact with senior leadership
- Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with LBO, DCF, accretion/dilution analyses
- Ability to build executive materials for CFO and Corporate Development
- Hybrid work environment experience or adaptability
