Job Summary
Lead Flatbed Solutions as the senior finance leader, serving as the primary strategic advisor to inform key business decisions and shape growth initiatives. Own financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting while overseeing month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L analysis. Drive cross-functional collaboration to execute strategic initiatives, manage revenue cycle activities, and prepare executive performance summaries for leadership and the board. Identify opportunities for margin improvement and support pricing analysis for new business opportunities. Lead and develop a team of finance professionals while ensuring adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 10+ years of financial experience, including 5+ years in management roles, or industry equivalent, leading both people leaders and individual contributors
- Strong expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Experience working cross-functionally to align financial strategy with business goals
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management
- Location: Onsite in Birmingham, AL
- Performance-based bonus and commission structure
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
- CPA or CMA designation
- Experience in the transportation industry
- Experience presenting financial information to executive leadership and boards
- Strong business acumen and financial modeling skills to support scenario planning
- Data analytics and visualization software experience (e.g., Tableau or Power BI)
