Job Summary
Conduct daily financial accounting, accounts payable, and payroll operations for Bothwell Regional Health Center. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for hospital management and external parties while coordinating annual audits with external auditors and actuaries. Manage daily cash movements, review investment performance, and oversee the installation of new accounting systems. Direct the development of monthly revenue monitoring tools, Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, and federal/state tax filings. Supervise staff and ensure compliance with IRS regulations and federal/state pay policies.
Required Qualifications
- Relocation to the Sedalia, Missouri area
- Graduate from a recognized College or University
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a major in Accounting
- 3-5 years' experience in appropriate field of accounting
- Experience in a healthcare facility
- Experience in the supervision of staff
- Experience in maintaining a computerized general ledger system
- Ability to communicate effectively and simply with every customer and co-worker
- Ability to display a positive, courteous and friendly attitude toward all contacts
- Ability to build good relationships with others based upon a sustained effort of mutual support toward common goals
- Ability to exercise good judgment, reasoning and concentration to detail and to take personal accountability for all actions in carrying out job duties
