Director - Finance and Portfolio Operations

Job Summary
Manage fund administration, portfolio monitoring, and treasury operations for a digital assets firm, working directly with external administrators, lawyers, and counterparties. Own AP/AR, payroll, and intercompany processes while maintaining clean documentation and tracking systems across multiple jurisdictions. Prepare budget vs actuals, cash flow analysis, and management reporting to support the founding partner's liquidity planning and strategic decisions. Act as a hands-on finance resource for portfolio companies, handling entity administration and corporate records without corporate layers. Requires 7–12 years of Big 4 or fund operations experience, fluency in English (Italian preferred), and ability to manage four to five parallel workstreams in Excel. Based in Turin or Lugano; no sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- 7–12 years of relevant experience in audit, financial control, fund operations, fund administration, PE/VC, or a family office environment
- Fluent English
- Right to work in Italy or Switzerland
- Based in or willing to relocate to Turin (preferred) or Lugano
- Genuinely hands-on — you use Excel yourself, you build the models, you do the reconciliations
- Experienced working with multi-entity and cross-border structures
- Comfortable working directly with external lawyers, auditors, fund administrators, and banking partners
- Able to manage multiple parallel workstreams with precision and without being told what to prioritise
- Highly organised — you are the kind of person who builds systems, not relies on them being there already
Desired Qualifications
- A Big 4 or fund administration background
- ACCA, CPA, or equivalent
- Offshore entity administration
- Fluent or native Italian
- Chinese or Spanish
