Job Summary
Lead and coordinate facilities and infrastructure projects from planning through completion, ensuring safe, efficient delivery within approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. Provide leadership and supervision of assigned staff, including inclusive hiring, performance management, and employee development. Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on facilities planning, infrastructure investments, operational risk management, deferred maintenance, and sustainability initiatives. Lead the design and retrofit of building systems to meet current standards and institutional needs, while overseeing asset management, preventive maintenance programs, and lifecycle renewal planning. Manage over $4 million in operational and $3 million in capital budgets annually. Provide technical expertise to resolve building system issues and oversee compliance with building codes, environmental regulations, and OSHA standards. Lead campus sustainability and energy management initiatives to support carbon reduction targets and utility consumption goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree
- 3 to 5 years of relevant, progressive, professional work experience
- Leadership and/or managerial experience
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a driving record that meets College insurance requirements for hire and continued employment
- Ability to effectively lead and supervise staff in a collaborative, team-based environment to achieve institutional objectives
- Ability to make sound operational, management and financial decisions that support institutional goals, budget accountabilities and an effective work unit
- Knowledge of facility management, maintenance, and engineering operations
- Knowledge of public procurement, budgeting and contract management
- Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire safety
- Skill in developing and analyzing facility data such as construction plans and specifications
- Skill in project management and maintenance systems, including coordinating maintenance work across multiple locations
- Skill in engaging positively with all populations and communities, contributing to a safe and inclusive learning and work environment
- Skill in effectively and respectfully communicating with others
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term
- Must be available for occasional evening and weekend work
- Must be available to work remotely up to two days per week
- Must be available to work three days on site, typically at the Truax Campus
- Must be able to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

- Must be able to oversee compliance with applicable building codes, environmental regulations, insurance requirements, OSHA standards, and other regulatory obligations
- Must be able to develop, manage, and monitor over $4 million in operational and $3 million in capital budgets annually
- Must be able to provide leadership and coordination during facilities-related emergencies, utility disruptions, and critical infrastructure incidents
- Must be able to create an inclusive, equitable, and supportive environment where everyone at the institution feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential
Desired Qualifications
- Professional license or certification, such as Professional Engineer (PE) license, Designer of Engineering Systems license, or Certified Educational Facilities Professional
