Job Summary
Represent the Dutch banking sector at the European Commission, European Parliament, and Council of the EU to influence legislation on finance, taxation, and digitalization. Represent the NVB at international bodies including the UK, US, Basel Committee, and OECD, while building and maintaining networks within European institutions. Draft and coordinate position papers for stakeholders and lead participation in the European Banking Federation to develop collective sector standpoints. Coordinate the NVB's presence at key events and translate political developments into strategic opportunities and risks for the sector.
Required Qualifications
- Woonachtig in Brussel of bereid om daarheen te verhuizen
- Academisch werk- en denkniveau
- Minimaal 10 jaar relevante werkervaring, bij voorkeur in de politiek, Europese instellingen, rijksoverheid, brancheorganisaties of bij een lobbykantoor
- Ervaring met besluitvorming over Europese wetgeving en de werking van de Europese instellingen
- Vloeiend in Nederlands en Engels
- Regelmatig reizen met zich mee, zowel naar Nederland als naar andere Europese bestemmingen en het Verenigd Koninkrijk
- Ook bijeenkomsten en netwerkevents buiten reguliere kantooruren
Desired Qualifications
- Kennis van andere Europese talen is een plus
- Je kent het Brusselse speelveld goed
- Beschikt bij voorkeur over een relevant netwerk binnen de Europese instellingen en/of Europese belangenorganisaties
- Affiniteit met de financiële sector
