Director - ETF Product Development

Job Summary
Director, ETF Product Development leads ETF strategy and launches. Responsible for ideation, market research, design, pricing, regulatory approval, and go-to-market execution for ETF offerings across North America (and contributing to Asia strategy). Works cross-functionally with Portfolio Management, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Platform Governance to identify product gaps, govern the ETF lineup lifecycle (design, pricing, rationalizations, mergers, closures), and shape firm-wide ETF strategy. Must be a senior ETF subject-matter expert, fostering innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the product development team. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 10+ years in asset management with ETF experience, CFA and/or MBA preferred, deep ETF knowledge, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, Bloomberg, and Morningstar Direct.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in asset management, with experience in ETF product development, management, or strategy
- CFA charter and/or MBA strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of ETF structures, regulatory frameworks, and launch mechanics
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, Bloomberg, and Morningstar Direct
